  • What is the best time of year for scuba diving in Flamingo?
    Scuba diving in Flamingo and Catalina Islands is available year-round, keep in mind that we do have three main seasons, High Season from December to March. The Rainy Season between April and August and the Low Season from September to November.
  • Why should I choose a private scuba diving tour in Flamingo?

  • Can you provide transportation?
    Yes we can. It does have an extra cost depending on the location of the pick up and drop off
  • Is food provided on the tour?
    Since is a half dat tour we provide snacks (cookies and fruit) and drinks (Non-alcoholic) If you have a special request please let us know.
  • Do I need a certification to dive?
    No certification is needed for beginner dives, with our Discover Scuba Diving program (DSD) our private guides provide training and supervision for your first underwater experience.
  • What marine life can I expect to see at Catalina Islands?
    Catalina Islands are famous for encounters with giant manta rays, sea turtles, reef sharks, octopi, morays, rays and schools of tropical fish. During certain seasons, you may also spot humpback whales​. Whale sharks are ocasional visitors and encounters can happen anytime in the year.
  • Can beginners dive in Catalina Islands?
    Yes! The Catalina Islands have sites suitable for beginners, with shallow reefs and gentle currents perfect for first-time divers.
  • How long does a private dive tour last?
    Our morning schedule we normally go out form Flamingo beach at 8:00 am and return around 12:30 pm. For the afternoon tours we go out at 2:00 pm and return with a beautiful sunset around 6:00 pm.
  • What are the diving conditions like at the Catalina Islands?
    Visibility varies from 5m to 20m, and water temperatures are cooler, from 20C to 26C during the high season from January to February and warmer, from 26C to 30C during the rest of the year.
  • When is Manta Season?
    Mantas provide unforgettable dives. Encounters can happen at any time, but they are most common during the months of December through June.
  • How experienced do I need to be to dive at Murciélago Islands?
    For a trip to Murciélago Islands you will need to comply with either of this requirements: - Advanced Open Water certification. - Open Water with Deep diving speciality. - Having at least 20 dives and book a tour to Catalina Islands before so our guide can practice the skills needed.
  • What is special about diving in Murciélago Islands?
    Murciélago Islands offer advanced dives with thrilling encounters with bull sharks, oceanic mantas, and massive schools of jacks in a pristine national park setting.
  • Are the bull sharks safe to dive with?
    The dives are natural encounters without feeding or chumming. With an experienced private guide, you can safely enjoy observing these majestic creatures in their habitat.
  • When Is the best time to dive at the Murcielago Islands?
    Diving is seasonal, running from April to October, when conditions are optimal for marine encounters and visibility. From December to January the expeditions are limited by weather conditions. From February to March we do not offer this tour due to the very strong winds that affect the area every year.
